04-05-2026: The tench season is slowly coming to an end. There are so many aquatic plants now that fishing is almost impossible. I sat there for a few hours today and still managed to catch a nice tench.
10-05-2026: Fishing with my children is definitely a lot more fun than with my friends or alone. But of course, they shouldn't catch much more than their father. Today, my eldest son completely beat me with 3 carp.
18-05-2026: Things aren't really going well this month. I see the fish swimming, but catching them... So this carp was more than welcome.
25-05-2026: Temperatures are approaching 30 degrees this weekend. Not good temperatures for the fish or the angler. That is why I only went fishing for an hour this evening. The carp are really spawning right now and had no interest in eating. But fortunately, we still have the crucian carp in the Netherlands.
