01-06-2026: A fun evening of perch fishing with my oldest son.
05-06-2026: For a few hours I watched bait bells without getting a bite. When I had given up hope and had already put the first rod in the car, I did get a bite on my second rod. The result was a beautiful tench.
06-06-2026: Today I didn't expect much from fishing. It was a new spot for me and with a wind force of 5 it wasn't pleasant to fish either. But well, I was with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time so we had to fish. The first rod went towards the horizon, and the second rod towards my own side. And that turned out to be the right choice. Because besides 2 breams and a nice tench, I had bites constantly.
15-06-2026: The area southeast of Utrecht is known for its fruit cultivation. Now that the cherries are being harvested, it was a good time to go take a look. And of course, a little spinning rod came along.
20-06-2026: Now that temperatures in the Netherlands are above 30 degrees, it’s no longer responsible to go fishing for predatory fish. That’s why I drove to a river today where the water temperatures are lower and the oxygen levels are higher.
21-06-2026: Today I drove to Gouda again to catch some bream. This time I didn't go to the river, but to fish in the canal. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I noticed that the bream in the canal were a lot bigger than the bream in the river.
28-06-2026: With temperatures well above 30 degrees, it was no longer safe to go fishing. Luckily, a lot of rain fell last night, so I was still able to go fishing for a few hours this morning.
