17-08-2026 till 23-08-2023: The month of August was pretty warm, with temperatures above 30 degrees. Actually, too warm to go fishing. I was quite surprised to still see anglers fishing for pike. To me, that's a no-go! Luckily, last week it was much better for fishing, with temperatures below 20 degrees. And after the heavy rain showers, the water was also much cooler. So we were able to spend a week in the Netherlands fishing for carp with a good feeling. Besides 6 carp, we also caught 3 sturgeons, a catfish, and a tench.
