07-04-2025: Now that predator fishing has been forbidden for 2 months, and we are going carp fishing in France in 2 weeks. It was fun to go fishing with the match rod for two days. A fishing rod, landingnet, hook remover and a small box of maggots were enough gear for 2 days of walking and fishing along the canal in Mill.
12-04-2025: The head of this bream clearly shows that they are entering spawning.
13-04-2025: And then finally, the first carp of 2025 has been caught ;). I also managed to catch this carp after 3 hours of fishing, despite the fact that I have seen several swimming. Unfortunately, a second carp managed to escape after swimming under a branch.
19-04-2025 till 26-04-2025: The first fishing holiday of 2025. Just like almost every year, we went carp fishing in France in April. For us it was the first time that we went fishing at the lake 'Le petit Tarnaud'. Last year we did go fishing at one of the owner's other lakes. That's why we already had some more information. After not catching anything for the first 24 hours, we fortunately managed to catch a nice carp. In the end, after a week, we managed to catch 13 carp, 6 bream, 1 tench and 6 pumpkinseeds.
28-04-2025: With the warm temperatures, the lily fields are starting to get bigger. Clear water, and lots of plants, that can only mean 1 thing. There must be tench swimming;)
