11-07-2025 till 14-07-2025: Sometimes you just need to get away for a bit. Both at my wife's work and at my own, it has been chaotic over the past few weeks. What better way to spend a weekend than to go carp fishing? This time we booked a fishing spot at the pay-to-fish water, the Sahera. And even though my expectations weren't very high, I managed to catch 4 beautiful carp. In a very lovely setting.

19-07-2025 till 26-07-2025: We drove to the Moselle in Luxembourg with great anticipation. Chubs, barbel, and asp, we were going to catch them all. The first evening our confidence grew even more when we saw several chubs swimming. So, on Sunday morning, I walked 20 minutes with my new barrow from the holiday cottage to the Moselle, because now it was going to happen. Unfortunately, no fish on Sunday, and no fish on Monday. But on Tuesday, the feeder rod finally bent. No, not a barbel or chub, but a beautiful carp went into my net. And on Wednesday evening, I had another one on the line which I unfortunately lost in a lily field. Thursday and Friday morning again nothing. On Friday evening, I spent almost 4 hours casting with a crankbait. And then finally, my first and only little chub. I'm very happy with that beautiful carp that I managed to catch. But the number of fish is very disappointing.
